O último jantar/workshop da Kinfolk tinha como tema o termo Japonês Wabi Sabi, apreciar a simplicidade, o saber envelhecer… e tudo o que em volta disso origina. Quando sobemos do tema, este provavelmente tornou-se um dos mais desafiantes e estimulantes jantares, a procura do espaço perfeito com a simplicidade e beleza necessária.

The last Kinfolk dinner workshop had a theme called Wabi-sabi, were one would appreciate simplicity of things, how to get old… and everything that originates around it. When we knew about the theme, we knew it was one of the most challenging and stimulating dinners we have done, the search of the perfect location with its necessary simplicity and beauty.
Foi então que nas nossas buscas encontrámos a
Casa no Tempo, conhecemos o João e Andreia responsáveis pelo projecto e sem dúvida que não poderíamos ter escolhido melhor, abriram-nos a porta, mostraram-nos a beleza do local e deste encontro surgiu um futuro cheio de novas ideias e partilhas.
A
Casa no Tempo é o que as imagens dela falam, simples de tão bela com as suas deformações, cada parede é uma parede torta com barriga, com personalidade, o seu chão em blocos de terramoto, a sua luz… e a sua envolvente que
já vos mostrámos há dias é de respirar fundo em cada inspiração.

It was then in our searching that we found
Casa no Tempo, were we met two amazing persons that were responsible for the project, João and Andreia, and without a doubt we could have not chosen a better place, they opened us the door, showed us the beauty of the place and from this meeting came lots of new ideas and ways to share them.
Casa no Tempo is what the pictures tell us, beautiful and simple with its deformed ancient walls, the floor with the terracotta blocs, the natural light… and its surroundings that we showed you a couple of days ago are breath taking.
Reunidos neste belo cenário nós e como sempre o
Sebastião e a Mónica, começámos a pensar nos detalhes e á lembrança veio-nos a
Anna com as suas lindas peças, a
Anna aceitou o desafio e desenhou as peças para este jantar que a meu ver se tornou perfeito.
Resta-nos mostrar as imagens deste dia que começou com uma caminhada pelo local onde fomos interrompidos pela chuva mas a soubemos ouvir debaixo de uma árvore, na simplicidade que o tempo e a vida nos dá, caminhámos de volta a casa onde nos esperava vinho quente e umas castanhas, sentámos-nos á mesa apreciámos o jantar e ouvimos e contámos novas histórias… por fim o jantar finalizou com a entrega como lembrança daquele dia das lindas peças concebidas pela
Anna westerlund.

United on this beautiful scenery, we, Sebastião and Monica, started thinking about the details and we thought about Anna with her beautiful clay pieces, and Anna accepted the challenge and made new pieces specially for this event.
We will now show you the pictures of this day that started with a smooth walk around the area were we where interrupted by the rain, we sheltered under a tree and listen to it, with the simplicity that time and life gives us. We walked back to the house were we had warm red wine and chestnuts waiting for us, we sat at the table to appreciate dinner and we told and heard news stories… dinner ended with a souvenir of that day, with the beautiful pieces made by Anna Westerlund.
Estas são as memórias de mais um dia passado em volta deste cenário místico e simples onde nos sentamos por horas e as horas passam sem que o tempo passe, este lugar de nome mesa.

This are the memories of another day spent around this amazing, and at the same time simple scenario were we sat down for hours, were the hours pass and time stand still, this place called table.
